Australian; born and raised in a coastal town in northern NSW with long periods spent in Armidale, NSW and Sydney. Lived in Japan since January 2001. My Japanese wife and I have raised three sons, now in university and high school. I’ve been running regularly since mid 2002 and with Namban Rengo since March 2003. At the time of writing I’ve run 10 marathons, but have not been so active in entering races for the past couple of years. I also brew my own craft beer and enjoy similar commercial products at Tokyo craft beer bars like Popeye, the Aldgate, and the Baird Taprooms at Harajuku, Nakameguro and Bashamichi (Yokohama). I work in business development for a Japanese consulting engineering company and sometimes get to travel to interesting places in SE Asia, South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
