  • On the May 4th holiday, Stuart Brady took part in the Kasukabe Half Marathon, finishing in a respectable 1:33:33, despite it being a very warm day.
  • 22 Nambanners turned out for the very steep Fuji Susono 10K and Half at Gotemba, near Mt Fuji. Mike Hegarty led the way in the Half with a 1:26, followed by Renaud Isman in 1:34. Rika Evans was 6th AG in 1:48 and Roselle Kingsbury was 9th in 1:50. And Nick Coyle ran a PB of 1:37:20!!
  • Up north, In Sendai, Daigo Asada ran the Sendai Half, a great race by the way, in 1:28:27. Nice! Yoshiro Morioka slowed by one second from last year in 1:49:04.
  • 50K races on the 14th. Teruyuki Minegishi did the Tama River 50K in a great 4:17 Emmanuel Obser also ran it. And Katsu Kinoshita ran the Toshi no Onaishi 50K, reaching his goal of sub-5 with a 4:56:46.
  • Yuri Kambara did the 42km division of the Yatsugatake Nobeyama Ultra on May 21, finishing 6th woman in 4:19:03. Taro Oguchi opted for the full 100km and completed it in 12:34:21 (PB). Congratulations to both of them!
  • The TELL Runathon was held on the 27th.
  • On the 28th, Rika Homma performed very well in her Ultra debut, running 6:48:15 for 65K in the Mirakusa Ultra Marathon and finishing as 8th woman. At the Okukuji Trail 50K, Eric Lebrasseur ran a huge PB to finish 11th AG in 9:34:59, Don Roxburgh and Rie Onodera completed it in 11:52:55 and 12:31, while in the 30K Satohi Numasawa finished 1st in her AG and 7th overall in 4:59:01, and Yoshie Niitsuma ran it for the third time, in 6:31:42. And up near Mt. Fuji, Taeko Hara ran the Yamanakako Road Race (one lap, 13.6K) in 1:17:03.

  • 29 - Multi-club time trial at Oda track. 3 sections.

      7:55pm — under 17:30
